A darling female puppy, about 6 months old and just under 40 pounds now, showed up in our yard  (~8 miles north of Nacogdoches) on April 7, 2008.  She was thin and timid, wore no collar and has no microchip.  No one seems to be looking for her locally, but it's possible that she wandered awhile before finding us. 

She looks and acts pyr, but may be a mix (see http://adoginouryard.blogspot.com/).  She is sweet and playful (but not hyper), LOVES children and other dogs, is intelligent and tractable and already a great watchdog.  We have taken her to our veterinarian for rabies/puppy shots and heartworm test (negative). 

She is not a perfect fit for our family (our daughter is too young to enjoy puppy antics, and our 2 adult dogs aren't warming to her at all), and we feel she deserves the best.  If you think she may be yours, drop us a line (she has a few distinctive characteristics).  If you have love, time and space to give her, and live in the east TX area (or are willing to drive a bit), we'll be happy to talk.  Contact Priscilla at pfcoulter@gmail.com.  She's a fantastic dog.
